On The Road to Damascus

On the road to Damascus

I met the Way, the Truth, the Life.

On the road to Damascus

I was blinded so I’d see the light.

In the darkness I beheld

the disease I held.

Aware in the night of my soul,

only His Life could make me whole.

On the road to Damascus I was confronted by my sin.

On the road to Damascus I was encountered deep within.

All the rebellion I saw about, was the truth that I did doubt,

trapped in illusion in my mind, He rescued me in His own time.

On the road to Damascus it was revealed what I must do.

On the road to Damascus I saw evil I must undo.

In self righteousness I was weak, ‘til He revealed His Mind.

His words will I speak; He rescued me in His own time.

On the road to Damascus

I met the Way, the Truth, the Life.

On the road to Damascus

I was blinded so I’d see the light.
